March 2010 Update

Hello, everyone!

March is here, and spring is on its way. For many of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, I am sure when I say that it cannot come too soon.

I thank all of you who purchased a copy of my book, Morning of the Rising Sun: The Heroic Story of the Battles for Guadalcanal, in the past month. Here is the latest news and some old news, too.

I have ads for my book in the March 2010 issues of two magazines:

a. Military Magazine on page 8. Click here for ad.
b. Bivouac Magazine. Click here for ad.

My book is available for purchase from Barnes and Noble. Click here to go to their web site to purchase it.

If you wish to purchase your copy of my book from your local book store, there is a PDF file available that gives all the data you need to give to the book store so they can order it for you. Click here to download it.

Click here for a copy of latest price lists on my web site. For a copy of the price list with an attached errata sheet, click here.

I just received a copy of your book Morning of the Rising Sun from one of my WWII veteran patients. He knows I do medical work in the Solomon Islands. I'm looking forward to the read. Right off the bat I noticed you have a whole series of chapters leading up to the Battle of Savo Island, the very battle that my uncle a sailor on the USS Quincy was killed in. Thank you, many books, just like the HBO miniseries the Pacific elude to the Battle of Savo Island but do not give much detail.
I believe you may have read my short write up about the work we do in SI that was published in Guadalcanal Echos. I just published an article in the American College of Surgeons Journal about what we do. I have been getting emails non-stop from surgeons who want to work with us in Gizo, Munda, Tulagi and Guadalcanal. All we need now is funding. If you have any interest in our current day Solomon Islands work please let me know, I can send you a pdf of my article and you are most welcome to check out the Loloma Foundation blog: http://lolomafoundation.blogspot.com/
Thank you,
Dr Eileen Natuzzi

I hope you enjoy reading my book as much as I did writing it.
